Prepare for THE JUNGLE BOOK Trailer with this Vine Teaser

Back in August, Dan Casey reported that one of the pleasant surprises out of D23 was how beautiful The Jungle Book live action film looked. Directed by Jon Favreau (Elf, Iron Man, Iron Man 2), this is a hybrid retelling of the Rudyard Kipling book as well as the Disney animated movie from 1967. This Monday, Disney will release the first trailer for the movie, due out in Spring 2016. For those who would like a little taste beforehand, check out the Vine down below from Jon Favreau himself. Though only six seconds, we are still treated to a glimpse of the Jungle itself, as well as our first glimpse of Mowgli, played by Neel Sethi.

Joining Sethi will be Scarlett Johansson (Kaa), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Bill Murray (Baloo), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera), Christopher Walken (King Louie), Lupita Nyong’o (Rakasha), and Giancarlo Esposito (Akela).

For those unfamiliar, The Jungle Book is the story of Mowgli, who was raised in the jungles by a family of wolves. He also guided by the lovable bear, Baloo, and the panther, Bagheera. Mowgli lives peacefully in the jungle until the tiger, Shere Khan, who find all man as a threat, does everything in his power to eliminate him.

The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, will be released in theaters April 15, 2016.

So what do you think? Will Jon Favreau give us yet another family film we love as much as Elf? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
