Possible WILL & GRACE Revival, Redemption for ARROW’s Damien Darhk, and More TV News

All the best things come back around eventually—it’s why Firefly fans never lose hope. The latest series that may be coming back to life is Will & Grace. Join me in today’s TV-Cap as we discuss the potential revival, learn about the possibility of redemption for Arrow’s Damien Darhk, discuss Westworld, and more.

Attracting Attention. When the Will & Grace cast reunited in September for an election video (which you can watch here), fans flipped. The video has over 6.2 million views right now, so you could say it was a success. The response grabbed NBC’s attention, and now they’re in talks with the cast and creators to reboot the comedy for a 10-episode limited series. They’re early on in the process, and nothing is set in stone. What I’m saying is, don’t get your hopes up, but you can keep your fingers crossed. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Stranger Rapping. What happens when you combine the smooth Stranger Things theme with the musical stylings Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino? Gold. Soundcloud user kmlkmljkl mashed the two universes together and came up with the above. Get more details here at Nerdist.

Cast Addition. Season three of FX’s Fargo already has a noteworthy cast, and they’ve expanded it with a new addition: Jim Gaffigan. He’ll be playing police deputy Donny Mashman. [Slashfilm]

Spinoff Time. I know at least some of you watched That’s So Raven. Raven-Symoné is set to leave The View so she can develop a That’s So Raven spinoff. She’ll take on the roles of star and executive producer for the spinoff, reviving the character Raven Baxter for the first time since 2007. [Variety]

HBO Score. BBC One is home to a limited series based on J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike crime novels. Remember, those were the books she wrote under the pen name Robert Galbraith. And hey, HBO has picked up U.S. and Canadian rights to air it. [Deadline]

Something True. The next episode of Westworld will bring us to the halfway point of the first season. A teaser doesn’t give anything about the timeline away, but does have a few scenes that add to the mystery. Read Scott’s thoughts about it here at Nerdist.

Plain Ol’ Fun. Kyle A. has already walked you through the scariest episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and now it’s time to go the opposite direction. Please enjoy his rundown of the seven silliest installments of the series right this way.

Hmm. When Robin Hood died in season five of Once Upon a Time, it seemed like it was rather final. I should know better given the fairytale show. If nothing else, there are always flashbacks. And sure enough, Sean Maguire will reprise his role in season six, and he discussed his return with Sydney.

Turning It Around. Season four of Arrow saw Oliver and company grapple with Damien Darhk. He showed himself to be ruthless, cruel, and a lot of other adjectives you’d associate with a villain. But there might be another path. CBR talked to actor Neal McDonough at the Arrow 100th episode party and asked if redemption was possible for Darhk. “Just had that conversation. Yes. There is one way that we can redeem him,” McDonough said. He said we’ll see it “at some point.” Any theories about how it will come about? [CBR]

About Last Night. Mary took on a case with Dean and Sam in last night’s Supernatural, and things took an emotional turn. Read my recap of “The Foundry.”

Stop reading now if you don’t want to see any spoilers for The Walking Dead.

A Special Goodbye. With Michael Cudlitz’s time on The Walking Dead over, the actor recorded a message for his fans. AMC shared his goodbye along with lots of Abraham footage because heartbreak is fun, guys. Stick around until the end of the video when his cast members show up with a surprise. [CBR]

If you’re a Will & Grace fan, you’ve probably already thought about the plot for a revival. Go ahead and share it in the comments.
