PLAYSTATION NOW Launching with “Hundreds Of Titles”

Earlier this year, our very own Malik Forte got some hands-on time with Sony’s upcoming streaming service, PlayStation Now. Since then, it’s been relatively quiet. That is, until now.

During a PlayStation pre-E3 event, Sony’s Todd Liss has just revealed that the game-streaming service will launch with “hundreds of titles.” This is incredible news, especially since the service will release titles for the PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita, and Bravia TVs simultaneously this summer. Among the hundreds of titles, we can expect Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception on the PS4 and Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus on the PS Vita, both of which were demoed at the event.

Unfortunately, that’s about all we know of the service, other than renting games may cost $4.99-$5.99, and that we’ll get both first and third-party titles. But I’m sure we’ll hear more about the service during next month’s E3. What I’m most interested in knowing is if new releases will appear as they launch.

Currently, the service is in beta and only supports about a couple dozen games. You can find out more about Sony’s service on the official PlayStation Now page.
