These 20 Games Are Coming to the PlayStation Classic

Following in the footsteps of varied Nintendos Classic before it, PlayStation Classic has hit the web with its own list of 20 games that it’ll be reviving for a stint of nostalgia-induced entertainment. Sony announced in September that it’d be releasing a compact revival of its nearly-25-year-old megahit gaming system, but has withheld the comprehensive list of games to be included until now.

Naturally, in the meantime, we brainstormed our own top choices—sadly, Parappa the Rapper did not make the cut as we had hoped, but we do have a few other favorites on the list to make up for this glaring omission. Peruse below and weigh in on how well you think PlayStation Classic’s arsenal of titles will uphold the legacy of every non-Nintendo family’s favorite gaming system.

Battle Arena Toshinden

Cool Borders 2

Destruction Derby

Final Fantasy VII

Grand Theft Auto

Intelligent Qube

Jumping Flash!

Metal Gear Solid

Mr. Driller

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee

Rayman

Resident Evil Director’s Cut

Revelations: Persona

R4 RIDGE RACER TYPE 4

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

Syphon Filter

Tekken 3

TOM CLANCY’S RAINBOW SIX

Twisted Metal

Wild Arms

As you can see, the Classic has most of the big hitters represented, covering the realms of platforming, racing, shooting, strategy, RPG, and then some. But surely you’ve noticed that something is missing—which PlayStation games do you wish made the cut for the Classic? Let us know! We’ll be happy to commiserate with you. (Someday you’ll get your due respect, Parappa.)

The console will release on December 3, and you can preorder your own right now.
