PICKSTARTER: Vampire Horror/ Comedy HOUSE HARKER

Do you like action? Comedy? Horror? Are you angry that vampires sparkle? The team behind the indie film House Harker agrees. Now they’re looking for funds to help them finish it!

The folks who created House Harker, also known from their digital content at Good Cops TV, aren’t asking you to fund their idea as they have already spent a month in Wisconsin shooting their movie. They’re also not asking you to help fund distribution, either. What they do need help funding is the fun stuff: twisted visual effects, bone crunching sound, kick ass music and, to use their words, “closed friggin’ captioning!”

This part of movie making is extra important because, according to their Kickstarter page, “When watching a great movie, people rarely think about the work that goes into the sound, the color, the timing, the music or the visual effects. But it is these things that can make or break your project and that is where you come in. The more money we raise to spend on post, the better our movie will be. There is a direct correlation.”

The plot of House Harker is simple: In order to save a home that has been in their family for generations, two awkward brothers and their idiot friend hire a vampire-actor to scare the town. Things get crazy when the “vampire” turns out to be the real thing.

Rewards for the Kickstarter include a mounted, bloody stake prop from the movie, tickets to a private cast and crew screening, limited edition t-shirts and more. To donate to finish House Harker, click here!
