Patton Oswalt‘s highly anticipated latest stand up special Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time was supposed to be released via Epix on the night of Thurs. January 16th. However, due to some issue that has yet to be determined, Epix didn’t get Oswalt’s special up at the time advertised, which prompted Patton to get more than a little disappointed.
At his Twitter account, Oswalt did “a version” of his special, along with expressing his frustration at Epix dropping the ball on releasing the show. Only after Patton was done tweeting did Epix manage to get the specialreleased.
So, you can watch Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time on Epix here and/or read his Twitter version in lieu of it not being released on time below and/or wait for it to be released on Comedy Central (dates to be announced by Patton next week). Just in case you’re wondering, they’re both damn funny.
Can I get clarification on what actually happened here? The scheduled “air date” for the special was Friday, 1/17 at 10 pm, but apparently it was announced somewhere (like Patton’s web site?) that you would be able to stream it the night before? And instead of being available at like 10 pm Eastern it ended up becoming available around midnight Eastern on that night?
Well, that certainly seems to be worth a public meltdown and rage party.
So what happens when YOU’RE two hours late to your job without calling in?
“…so kid what are you gonna call this special”
Patton: Well I sure can’t call it The Aristocrats
I was able to watch Patton’s special on Epix’s website just fine last on the 16th, a day earlier than advertised. As far as it’s availability now, I haven’t checked.
