PACIFIC RIM UPRISING Trailer Shows Off Much Bigger Monsters

The latest trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising gives us a closer look at the threats our heroes will be facing, and the literal size of the danger to humanity. Though the movie will begin in a time of relative peace after the events of Pacific Rim, things are going to get crazy as we see how acutely the Kaiju have managed to evolve since the first film. While the Jaegers were once a pretty formidable foe to the monsters, the Kaiju’s new size makes the mechs seem tiny in comparison.

However, that doesn’t stop humanity from bringing the fight to this new enemy squaring off against them. The trailer shows Jake Pentecost (John Boyega), son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), and his crew suiting up to face the biggest threat to humanity yet.

With these new, huge monsters, the action in Pacific Rim: Uprising is going to be a ton of fun to watch. Uprising is boasting bigger monsters, and some truly badass looking upgrades to the Jaegers since the first movie. While Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam) is not returning, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) will indeed be back, as are the Kaiju-obsessed scientists, Dr. Newton Geiszler (Charlie Day) and Gottlieb (Burn Gorman). Luckily, you’re not going to have to wait much longer for Pacific Rim: Uprising. The movie lands in theaters on March 23.

What are you most excited to see in Pacific Rim: Uprising, bigger monsters or new Jaegers? Tell us in the comments!
