Staying on the payload takes a lot out of you; just ask any Overwatch player. And it goes double for Lucio mains. You have to expend an awful lot of energy resisting the urge to wall-ride away from that big, annoying cart so you can cheekily boop an enemy Roadhog off the edge of the map into oblivion. Blizzard understands this struggle too, which is why they revealed at Blizzcon on Friday that they are partnering with Kellogg’s to turn Lucio-Oh’s from a silly in-game meme into a real cereal that you can actually purchase and eat with your own IRL mouth.
Overwatch never tasted so good! 🎶🥣

The cereal, which is apparently “sonic vanilla” flavored, purports to be part of a balanced breakfast meta and will reward you for buying it with in-game loot boxes. All I can say is they better release brunch-themed character skins to unlock if you send in enough box tops.

This news shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who is plugged into the world of breakfast leaks, which apparently is a thing, but it definitely caused me, a normal person, to do a double-take at my desk. Blizzcon attendees will be able to try a sample of the cereal while supplies last, but the rest of us will just have to wait until they hit store shelves in December.
What do you think of this news? Will you be adding Lucio-Oh’s to your diet? Let us know in the comments below.
