ORPHAN BLACK is Streaming on Amazon Prime Instant Video

That’s right, you folks out there playing the avoidance game. BBC America’s Orphan Black‘s entire first season is now streaming on Amazon Prime Instant Video. So those of you whining that the free pilot on iTunes was not enough, it’s time to take the damn plunge and dive deep into one of the best sci-fi shows to come out in recent years (that’s right, we said it).

The exclusive deal between BBC America and Amazon makes Prime Instant Video the only online home for the first and any subsequent seasons of the series. According to Matt Forde, EVP Sales & Co-Productions for BBC Worldwide North America,”Prime Instant Video continues to be a great platform for viewers to enjoy our content, and we’re very pleased to make it the exclusive online streaming provider for every season of Orphan Black, starting with season one. Temple Street Productions along with Graeme Manson and John Fawcett have created an addictive, edge-of-your-seat series and now is the perfect time for subscribers to get on board and catch up on season one before the series returns to BBC America in April.”

Considering the series’ addictive qualities, its a smart move for the platform to get in early as it is perfect binge-watch bait. “Orphan Black is exactly the type of smart, suspenseful TV show that our customers love to binge on,” added Brad Beale, Director of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon in the same statement. “It’s easy to see why Tatiana Maslany was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role.”

We’re far from secretive about our love for the series — it’s a big hit ’round these parts — likely because of the series seriously intelligent and fun premise, to say nothing of the batshit insanely good acting skills of the one clone to rule them all, Tatiana Maslany. So go log into your parents’/friends’/roommates’/significant other’s Amazon Prime account and get to watching. The Clone Club awaits your initiation.

Are you a fan of Orphan Black? Excited for its April 19th return?

Dang. Was really hoping for it to come to Netflix.
On the other hand, I believe my sister has Prime, so I’m going to have to have her sign in to my Wii, which I just found out DOES have Amazon Prime available to download.

Well, I’d been waiting for it to hit Netflix. Now that it’s exclusively on Amazon, I’m not very likely to check it out. Oh well.
