Ever listen to a great song on the radio and think, man, wouldn’t that be really freakin’ awesome if an orchestra did a cover of this song? 

Yeah, so did composer Nick Proch from Phoenix, Arizona. In fact, Proch is so passionate about this idea that he launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund Tantamount, an album of symphonic ’90s rock renditions. Not surprisingly he reached his goal and the project is in full swing.

First up, Proch started with Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name,” which earned him a lot of buzz and 240,000 views on YouTube. Now his latest offering is another Rage Against the Machine favorite “Bulls on Parade”. This gorgeous instrumental version is recorded with a 35-piece orchestra, and it definitely adds a new layer to the song.

Rage Against the Machine are one of the most influential metal bands in musical history, characterized by strong leftist and and revolutionary political views. “Bulls On Parade” is a song from their second album, Evil Empire. It’s widely known for its guitar solo featuring vinyl scratch effects, and its overall menacing sound.
