Ogle the New GAME OF THRONES Sets in Awe-Inducing Video

If ever there were a case to be made for a Game of Thrones museum once the series has finished, perhaps this video should be its keystone. Because… damn. If you weren’t already impressed by the scale and scope of the HBO production — let alone its visual perfection — prepare to have your mind blown straight off.

The promotional train has already left the station in preparation for the upcoming fourth season, including a batch of new images and even a trailer. This latest video, however, focuses mostly on the work of Production Designer Deborah Riley, who took over the HBO series from Emmy-winning Gemma Jackson after three seasons. And though it was — we imagine — a daunting task, Jackson’s impressive shoes have been deftly filled. The intricacies of it all! We could watch hours of footage documenting each and every tiny detail.

Riley waxes poetic on Jackson, her truly impressive (and huge!) crew of designers, builders, assistants and the like to give the viewers a real understanding of just how expansive and thoughtful the production has been in recreating George R.R. Martin’s epic flight of fancy. And there are plenty of sneak peeks to be had, too. There are glimpses of Dany, Jon Snow, Bran Stark, and Margery Tyrell. Also spotted were a certain wedding, the reunion of the incest-y siblings Lannister, and even Sherlock co-creator and co-star Mark Gatiss, who’s set to play (potential spoilers, nerds) Tycho Nestoris. Notice anything curious about his appearance? April 6th: ye cannot come soon enough. Make haste, dear Sunday-to-be.
