BATMAN: BAD BLOOD Cast Talks Batwoman, Bruce Wayne’s Death, and More

No, it’s not the Taylor Swift vs. Batman slugfest that you’ve been waiting for (that’s in my fan fic). At New York Comic Con, DC Entertainment brought the cast of Batman: Bad Blood to unveil the first trailer for the highly anticipated animated feature. The follow-up to Son of Batman finds Gotham City in turmoil after the apparent death of Batman. In the Dark Knight’s absence, it’s up to the rest of the extended Batman family to save the day as a gang war between rival mobs threatens to catch the city in the crossfire.

Ah yes, nothing like a power vacuum to shake things up in Gotham City. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of members of the extended Bat-family, and many of them were present at this year’s NYCC. Before they returned to the VO booth in the Batcave, I caught up with Jason O’Mara (Batman), Gaius Charles (Luke Fox/Batwing), and director Jay Oliva to chat about what fans can expect from the new film, the on-screen debut of characters like Batwoman and Batwing, and which characters they most want to play in the live-action DC Cinematic Universe.

The film’s official synopsis reads as follows:

“Bruce Wayne is missing. Alfred covers for him while Nightwing and Robin patrol Gotham City in his stead. And a new player, Batwoman, investigates Batman’s disappearance.”

Batman: Bad Blood stars Jason O’Mara (Batman), Sean Maher (Nightwing), Yvonne Strahovski (Batwoman), Stuart Allen (Damian Wayne/Robin), Morena Baccarin (Talia al Ghul), Gaius Charles (Luke Fox/Batwing), and Ernis Hudson (Lucius Fox).

Which member of the Bat-family are you most excited to see on the big screen? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
