Watch a Nokia 3310 Get Blasted With a Million-Volt Charge and Survive

Who remembers the beastly Nokia 3310? You know, that tank of a phone that could survive being Hulk-pounded against cement over and over and still await more punishment? Yeah, well, it can also apparently take on a one-million volt charge, and brush it off like a silly little snap of static electricity.

The video of the Nokia getting repeatedly Thor-blasted was made and posted by the YouTube channel kreosan, which is very much in the same vein as the CrazyRussianHacker or Cody’sLab, except way more frightening because the channel’s creators really seem to love high-voltage electricity.

In the video, we see both the Nokia 3310 — which you can still buy in an updated iteration — and a modern-day, 10-core smartphone take on the million volts, which is definitely a kind of electricity we don’t come into contact with on a day-to-day basis. (For reference, stun guns have a voltage that ranges in the millions — so keep in mind that if this electricity were to zap the kreosan host in the clip, it probably wouldn’t kill him. Probably.)

Needless to say, the smartphone is easily taken out by the high-voltage electricity, encountering a sensor failure rendering its touchscreen totally inoperable. But the Nokia 3310 doesn’t have any weak, pathetic touch screen; it just has the will of the warrior.

What are your thoughts on the Nokia’s 3310 display of super-tank-like ability to take enormous amounts of damage? Seriously though, do you want the Nokia 3310 to be your main tank on your next raid? Let us know in the comments below!
