Cling tenaciously to your buttocks and bust out the pizza, because Nickelodeon is going to deliver big-time on the exclusives front at Comic-Con 2017. Whether you’re a Nicktoons child of the ’90s, or a Ninja Turtle fellow chucker of any generation, avatars of fun and football-shaped friends are headed your way if you’re gonna be in San Diego in a couple of weeks.
Probably most sought-after will be the deluxe Usagi Yojimbo action figure, celebrating the return of Stan Sakai’s samurai rabbit to the world of the TMNT. He comes packed with two new heads (one behatted), pet lizard, and flag; and the packaging contains two reprint comics:Â 1987’sâLeonardo Meets Usagi Yojimbo in Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew,â and the 1989’s âThe Treaty.â $30.
If you prefer your cartoon heroes to be more super-powered and carb-loaded, Kidrobot’s Powdered Toast Man figurine is for you! Standing eight inches tall and colored in a “wheat” scheme with translucent hands and feet, this glutinous good-doer is ready to fart on your morning breakfast and fly you to safety on his rear end. Or, considering the pose he’s in, give your other toys a high-five. $50.
Has a lack of Avatar merchandise been making you Aang-ry? This chibi-fied rendition of the Last Airbender ought to balance your chi, in a sepia tone to match the look of exclusive prints that have sold at previous Comic-Cons. $25.
Are you ready for some FOOT-BALL…-headed heroics? Hey Arnold! is back, and full of beans–literally–with these soft beanbag plushes. At $10 each they’re among the cheapest exclusives you’ll find.
Everyone likes mystery boxes these days, but we’re going to reveal some of what’s inside this $50 offering, like…
…an exclusive T-shirt…
…a TMNT popsicle, melting in the sun (don’t worry–it’s actually vinyl)…
…an Arnold bobblehead…
…a Mickey Kaline baseball card…and more that we can’t spill the beans on at this time! If the Nick Box shirt isn’t quite your style, there will also be a make-your-own $20 T-shirt station that you can customize with images from SpongeBob SquarePants, TMNT, Hey Arnold!, Rockoâs Modern Life, The Loud House, Rugrats, or Danny Phantom.
Finally, there will also be an exclusive Funko POP Vinyl…but even we don’t know what it is yet! Presumably it will be a Nickelodeon character of some kind, but you’ll just have to wait till you get there to find out which one.
