New Trailer For DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

Okay, back to the Planet of the Apes once again:

Yes, it’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, following up on 2011’s Rise of reboot, and the peace between the apes and the human survivors breaks down. Andy Serkis is back as Caesar, Gary Oldman is the lead human, and the official description is:

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

So, that. Did you like the first reboot enough to go with this one? Does the trailer look menacing enough? Comments below or DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL….

Have and love all the Planet of the Apes movies ! The reboot was superb and I can’t wait to see this one !

  2. Rick says:

I’ve been an Apes fan since the originals. I hated Tim Burton’s version of the movie, but love the reboot. Got a chill right at the end of this trailer when Cesar motioned the command. I think I pee’d a little. July can’t come soon enough.

I remember falling in love with the originals as they came out, when I was a kid. The whole cycle of films was amazing. That did not prevent me from thoroughly enjoying the new ‘Rise of’. It was a great re-telling rather than just a shiny re-hashing of an old story with new tech. It was very well done.

  4. David says:

I really liked the latest reboot. This one looks really promising as well.

  5. Ken says:

It feels kind of weird that I immediately knew it was Gary Oldman in the trailer, usually it takes a little while, sometimes after the credits roll. It should be interesting to watch because it’s not hard to both vilify and sympathize with both surviving human population and new ape population. I can’t wait until the next trailer.

  6. Shawn says:

I I like all of tha ape’s movies, but this 1 looks like it could be the best. With the last one and this one you learn how it all started.

  7. Mark Engel says:

Looks promising. I liked the reboot and the future it was telling us of during the credits. This almost has a zombie thriller type feel to it, which seems pretty awesome.
