New THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 Poster Promises Fiery End

Sadly, the new poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is right — we aren’t prepared for the end. After three novels and three movies, this upcoming fourth and final film will bring the story of Katniss Everdeen, and her unexpected journey as a reluctant revolutionary, to its conclusion.

As Shakespeare wrote, “Parting is such sweet sorrow,” and although we must say goodbye, at least we have the promise of an epic end to this battle for freedom, and of course, our Girl On Fire will be there to lead the way.

This newest poster has Jennifer Lawrence in her red combat attire, bow and arrow ready to let loose, with her symbol (and the book’s cover art) behind her — a fiery mockingjay in action. Combined, Katniss looks like she has wings. It’s a very fitting and powerful image for the final battle against The Capitol and President Snow.

It might feel like The Hunger Games story has been around for a lot longer than it actually has. The first book was only released in 2008, with the next two coming in 2009 and 2010. The first of the four films came out in 2012, and on November 20th the final chapter in this worldwide phenomenon will come to an end.

So to celebrate, we’d like to hear what you are most looking forward to with this final film. Tell us in the comments below, and of course, may the odds be ever in your favor.
