New PACIFIC RIM Mini-Series Announced From Legendary Comics

Two years ago, director Guillermo del Toro created an incredible new universe of giant monsters fighting giant robots with his film Pacific Rim. But before Pacific Rim 2 hits theaters in the summer of 2017, there will be more from the world of Kaiju vs Jaegers, this time in comic book form from Legendary Comics.

Guillermo del Toro promised more adventures from the world of Pacific Rim, and now he’s delivering on that promise. Legendary is taking fans back to the frontlines of a larger-than-life battleground with Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift, the official new comic series presented by director Guillermo del Toro and featuring a story from Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham. A continuation of the graphic novel Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, this new series will feature Jaegers never before seen in combat, squaring off against newly created Kaiju creatures. The new series comes from writer Joshua Fialkov (The Bunker, I, Vampire) and features artwork by Marcos Marz (Batman Confidential). Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift will be a four-issue monthly series, and will be released in November of 2015.

As a very special bonus, Legendary is offering fans the chance to win an exclusive original illustrated page from the newly announced comic. Enter here: http://PacificRimComicArt.com/ or hit up Legendary’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

Also announced from Legendary Comics are two new original series: First is Black Bag, starring Legendary Comics’ first female action hero, which is about a suburban wife-turned-covert government assassin. This book comes from iZombie creator Chris Roberson, with art from JB Bastos (Night Trap), and will be a six-issue monthly series.

Finally, Legendary is partnering with writer Steven Grant on Cops For Criminals, a new crime-thriller series about a federal agent forced to find true justice in the criminal underworld. Pete Woods (Deadpool, Catwoman) returns to pencil, ink and color the title. Cops For Criminals will be a five-issue monthly, and both books will hit this Fall.
