New ORPHAN BLACK Season 4 Teaser Keeps an Eye on the Prize

Hey gang! This one’s going to include some potential season three spoilers for Orphan Black. So, if you’re not interested in talking about all things up-to-date in the Clone Club world, step aside from this post, sestras.

After what was, arguably, the most insane season of BBC America’s Orphan Black yet, the third season finale set up a real humdinger full of Neolutionist crazy. (Because self-directed evolution is a right or something, right?) After it was revealed that Rachel Duncan’s mother of a sort—the long-thought-dead Professor Susan Duncan—was very much alive and well, taking care of her ice-cold clone daughter after the ill-fated pencil incident of season two, a new eye was received. But, as one would expect when involving one’s self with a bunch of folks known for growing tails and implanting computer code into their bodies, the beauty of their ingenuity looks more nefarious on closer inspection.

The tease isn’t much, admittedly (if you want to know more about what’s going down in season four, click here), but it does remind us of the emotional weight and tension behind Rachel’s new ocular device and the predicament in which our once most-hated-clone (she still might be, in some circles) finds herself. We’re imagining something very Black Mirror-esque is about to go down with her new gear, and hoo boy are we here.for.it. Gotta love some post-modern evo-devo, amirite, Cosimas of the world? Talk about crazy science gone really, actually crazy.

But what do you think? Have any theories about what’s in store for season four? Let us know in the comments below.
