New Looks for Hawkeye and Captain America in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Filming has been underway for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and no matter how tightly Marvel tries to keep things under wraps, fans are bound to capture some set pictures. They’d have to enclose the shooting locations inside a high wall to prevent leaks, and even if they’re tempted, it’s probably not cost effective. Anyway, a couple of the set photos feature Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye and Chris Evans’ Captain America in some fancy new costumes.

Given that we’ve seen alterations for superhero outfits in sequels such as Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 2, and the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the tweaks aren’t entirely out of nowhere. But, since Hawkeye’s hero look has been so subtle in past Marvel films, I’m pleasantly surprised to see a more comic book-like style for him in Age of Ultron. Check out this photo from The Nerd Truth:

The coat with dark purple touches could just be a momentary addition to his existing non-costume, but I hope he wears it all the time.

Captain America’s threads get an update, too. Earth Prime Weekly shared the below photo. Though it doesn’t appear to be hugely different from The Winter Soldier costume, the new ensemble means we could see fresh looks for the rest of the team.

Let us know what you think about the Age of Ultron costumes in the comments!

Hawkeye’s new costume is amazing! And the feathers on Cap’s helmet are a nice addition.

  2. Jason says:

the S.H.I.E.L.D. insignia is absent on Hawkeye’s outfit this go round. looks like S.H.I.E.L.D. won’t be reestablished by the time Age of Ultron occurs. Will H.A.M.M.E.R. rise out of the ashes of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. should have an awesome second season.

  3. dubbs says:

Hawkeye is cool, because he is truly athletic and deadlywwith that bow. Like movie marvels depiction of Natasha Romanov, clint barton is fictional enough for the fans but human and realistic enough to be plausible in real world fighting!

And for the one man representation of democracy? Just, saw the “the winter soldier”, and let me say, this – Capt. America would kick he dogsh*t out of DCs batman!!!!( sorry batfan boys but on the big screen, cap is a human wrecking machine physically to fast and powerf for bats!!!considering Nolans bats had trouble fighting an asthmatic juice head with delusions of granduer-tom hardys Bane

  4. MerkinMcGee says:

Gotta sell those action figures… Why would people buy them if they looked the same as when the last movie came out?

  5. P Buck says:

I’m glad to see them tweaking the costumes for each movie. Its bringing the fun of comics to the movie franchises. Plus it can’t hurt to put a little purple on Hawkeye!

  6. Donnie Kranek says:

I don’t mind them tweaking the look of the characters as long as the story is good.

Love Hawkeyes new look I’m not going to lie Hawkeye has always been my favorite Avenger he’s a total badass I never understood why non-comic book lovers hate on him saying things like (he has no powers, he uses a bow that’s lame etc.) well you know what people batman and people ate up those Nolan movies (I love the comics and the movies expect for DKTR very disappointing movie) He has know powers their both trained in martial arts, hand to hand combat etc., they have access to awesome tech. and weapons and I’m going to put it out there Hawkeye can and would kick batman’s ass in a fight cause Hawkeye can cross a line that Batman wouldn’t you know with that whole pesky no killing code he live by. WHAT I SAID IT come at me DC fans.
