If you thought season one of NBC and Bryan Fuller’s take on the Thomas Harris novels was devious, check out the deliciously dark new trailer for season two of Hannibal. Because, hoo boy, does this ever amp the creep level up to eleven. In the seriously Mads Mikkelsen-centric tease of the series â returning February 28th â a new tone has been set for the unraveling Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Hannibal Lecter (Mikkelsen) bromance. Turns out it may just be that the one person you don’t want to piss off isn’t the highly intelligent cannibal, but rather the mentally unstable but brilliant FBI Special Investigator.
With Graham locked in a mental asylum, taking the fall for Lecter’s crimes, season two will find Graham in a fight to prove his own sanity and innocence. Fans of the Harris novels (and their subsequent film adaptations) know what’s in store for the characters, but from the looks of this trailer, season two will still have enough tricks and terrifying twists up its sleeve to entice.
Hannibal returns to NBC with a 13-episode season on Friday, February 28th at 10PM.
