New GAME OF THRONES Teaser Drops 5 Big Clues

Winter isn’t coming–it’s here! And so is a brand new teaser for Game of Thrones season seven. The months of summer don’t seem as far away now that we’ve had a fresh glimpse of the penultimate season. And while there is no actual footage from the new episodes in this teaser, there is nothing here that was placed by chance. Today’s Nerdist News special report is breaking down the new teaser for clues and some ominous foreshadowing about the fate of the realm.

Join host and the Khaleesi of Los Angeles, Jessica Chobot, as she goes through the five biggest takeaways from this exceptionally well made clip. Note how everything has come down to Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister. They are the last ones standing who could conceivably take total control of the seven kingdoms. But what if they were meant to stand together in the final battle against the army of the dead? We’ve always assumed that Tyrion Lannister and Jon would be the predicted allies for Daenerys in the coming war. However, we can’t count out the Queen.

While we recognize Winterfell and King’s Landing in the background here, this teaser may have given us a new glimpse of Dragonstone, the ancestral home of the Targaryen family. There are also some signs that Jon and Daenerys may not necessarily be on the same page when the final conflict goes down. And then there’s the breath of Cersei, which shows just how far winter’s reach really is. Waiting in the wings is none other than the Night King himself. He is the enemy of everything that lives, and the war may be over before it truly begins unless Daenerys, Jon, and perhaps even Cersei come together to stop it.

What do you make of the new GoT teaser? By the old gods and the new, let’s discuss in the comment section below!
