The first trailer of Fright Night that came out a few weeks ago looked pretty cool, with Anton Yelchin squaring off against blood-sucking Colin Farrell, but aside from a quick shot, it totally left out David Tennant playing Peter Vincent (a character played by Roddy McDowell in the original). Well this new trailer has a lot of Tennant and I have to say, he looks super badass.
AND it’s rated R. I’m there, folks.
Omfg!!!! I have to watch this. Only and only because David Tennant is in it. He is a brilliant actor and he should be recognized even more. Fright Night just might do the job. Lol, oh how I would love myself some DT!!!
The only thing I’m worried about is if Tennant dies early in the film..because the early trailers have Colin Farrell after them in the middle of the road(no tennant), Charlie going into the vampire house alone in the daylight(no tennant)…hoping it follows the original as far as the size of Peter Vincents Character.

its funny how he plays such a gentle, noble character who would never even touch a gun to that play for Romeo and Juliet thing and now a character that says “Let’s kill something” lol! loving it! Totally badass
I was heartbroken when I saw Farrell was cast as Dandridge, I’ve had a crush on Chris Sarandon since I was 5, but it doesn’t look so bad. I’m really looking forward to quality screen time with David he is sexy when he is being nerdy, I don’t know how to take him as a uber bad boy.

I must say that I’m relieved that the wig he wears is meant to be a wig in the film and not his character’s actual hair (I’ve only seen stills of him in the Vegas get-up).

I really hope this attracts a lot of Twilight fans looking for vampire romance… I’d just love to see their reaction to vamps that are proper evil and not sparkly emo unicorns.
Pretty much every time David Tennant takes on a role, it’s something so distinct from what he’s done before—just take a look at his last few roles since giving up the TARDIS, or even what he’d done just before and during his tenure as the Doctor. Just a great deal of talent wrapped up in one actor. Luckily, the film actually looks watchable beyond him! Also love Anton Yelchin and Colin Farrell looks intriguing in this. Can’t wait for the film.
Wouldn’t give this movie a second look normally, and wasn’t even all that excited about it knowing that DT was in it…until I saw the shots of him in the leather pants without the super-goth makeup.

Actually, I’m genuinely intrigued to see him in this role — I’ve seen pretty much everything else he’s ever done, but this appears to be quite different. A little bit Harry Potter, a little bit Doctor Who, but also very distinct from either. Of course he’ll be fantastic because he’s just a really solid actor with excellent instincts and a wide range, but I’m really curious to see what it will be like…
YES! I was sad the first trailer had no Tennant, but this second one toootally makes up for it! and yay for looking like a GOOD remake!

I was mortified to hear that Hollywood was remaking “Fright Night,” because the original is perfect……. until I saw who the director and actors were. Now I CAN.NOT.WAIT!!! Someone who saw a sneak preview said that DT was hilarious in it.

I was so worried when I saw the first trailer – I thought they were cutting Tennant out of the film because there’s so little of him in it. Fortunately, though, this trailer makes him out to be the star. There are also rumors that the sequel is going to be all about him and his version of Peter Vincent.
As a huge fan of the original film, I’m okay with that.
