He-Man is coming to Comic-Con this week, with the first episode of his original series in 31 years!
Via Metro, Super7 has announced the debut of a brand new episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. There have been two animated revivals of the series, including the 2002 He-Man reboot. But this is apparently keeping the style of Filmation’s He-Man, and the original continuity as well. The newly released trailer features Skeletor berating his henchmen Beast Man and Mer-Man, and it certainly sounds like Alan Oppenheimer is voicing his signature villain again!
The new episode is called âThe Curse of the Three Terrors,â and it is slated to debut on Wednesday, July 20, the first night of Comic-Con. Fans in San Diego have been invited to watch the premiere at the corner of 8th Ave & G Street in downtown San Diego, at 10pm. That’s a parking lot, so it will be standing room only. But the upside is that there will be plenty of room for a crowd.
Super7 also released a brief video of Skeletor insulting his henchmen and the Comic-Con crowd as well.
According to Super7’s videos, âThe Curse of the Three Terrors” will also be released on iTunes and Google Play. Whether any additional He-Man episodes will be created remains to be seen. But we’d love to see it happen! This episode may not have the most polished animation, but it does look like a lot of fun.
