Bungie’s latest trailer for their massive online shooter gives us a glimpse of the threats that hail from the stars within the world of Destiny. The moon has always been an admirable sight for Earthlings, but the trailer’s narration suggests that the source of the conflict is derived from that very same place. After a bit of backstory, we receive a good view of Destiny‘s weapons, gun play, and combat system. We also get a peek at one of the game’s humungous enemies against whom players will have to square off, and, boy, does he appear to be a “fun time” waiting to happen.

Destiny will also be unlocking beta access in early 2014 on Ps3, Ps4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game at the following participating retailers will grant you early beta access: Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Gamestop. That applies only to the U.S., so if you’re in a different region, you might want to visit Destiny’s pre-order page to find out your participating retailers. Bungie also recently unveiled the official box art for Destiny for your viewing pleasure, so feel free to take a gander below!
