New BATMAN: THE TELLTALE SERIES Trailer Brings Bruce Wayne Out of the Shadows

For over 75 years and through various incarnations, Bruce Wayne has attempted to save Gotham City as Batman. Now it’s time for Batman to save the city as Bruce Wayne. Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, Telltale Games has released a new trailer for Batman: The Telltale Series!

The first installment of this five-episode series is called “Realm of Shadows,” and it will give fans the opportunity to play as both Batman and Bruce Wayne as he explores new ways to solve some old problems. This story isn’t directly based on any Batman comic or movie that you’ve seen before, but even casual fans will recognize several familiar characters, including Catwoman, Harvey Dent, and Vicki Vale. Judging from the new trailer, it appears that Dent may have some unexpected ties to the criminal underworld while Batman makes a concerted effort to finally bring down Carmine Falcone, Gotham’s biggest crime boss.

Troy Baker stars in the game as Batman/Bruce Wayne, with Laura Bailey as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, and Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone. Thus far, there’s no sign of the Joker, Harley Quinn, or other well-known Batman villains. But it just wouldn’t be a Batman game without them, so don’t be shocked when they finally show up in a later episode.

Fans at Comic-Con will get the chance to see Batman: The Telltale Series for themselves at a special event before the first episode launches on Tuesday, August 2 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and compatible mobile phones. Fans who want a physical disc will get the chance to pick one up for all of the major home platforms on September 13, which will include a season pass for every episode in the series.
