  1. Slithy Tove says:

What a fucking excellent podcast. Ben you’re a master of the art of panel moderation. You should moderate presidential debates for a living or some such shit. You’re really good.

I often wonder why this podcast doesn’t garner more comments. I mean, it’s the Nerdist Writer’s Panel, a podcast made by writers for writers. As writers one would think we’d be more inclined to, you know, write something.

Perhaps it’s the ever-present terror of the blank page, or a natural sensitivity possessed by writers that leads to a fear of exposing one’s emotions to ridicule or rejection on the internet. I tend to think, however, that it’s more likely that as writers who get paid (or want to get paid) to write we become misers with our words. “Why waste this idea on a comment thread when I can put it in a screenplay?” we ask ourselves. It’s kind of a pity because, as I previously expressed, this is a fucking excellent podcast. Not just excellent. Fucking excellent. It deserves a hundred comments an episode showering it with yasher koachs.

  2. Dylan Lane says:

Man, I miss Numb3rs, but Nicholas Falacci + Cheryl Heuton are a hoot on Twitter. Thanks for this!

  3. Mccrackelz says:

It’s the little things that make this podcast great.

feature writers being hermits, olyphant being a backseat writer, math being written out of numb3ers…where else can you mine this gold?

    friggin’ NOWHERE.
