Marti Noxon, Danny Zuker &…
Please get this to Danny Zuker. It looks like he needed help with his commencement speech. here is a little something to get him started.
Webster’s dictionary defines commencement as a beginning. What you have accomplished so far is a means to an end.
Everyone who has graduated from this fine establishment has the the following in common:
They wish to have a job they love, to become a productive member of society, to find happiness in the world and in
themselves, but mostly to pay off that damn student loan debt so you can get on with your lives.
Being youthful bright and energetic is a virtue, and attribute not to be squandered. Many of you have hopes and dreams
of being the best you can be. The workaday world which you will soon be joining can at times
seem to be more of a chore than a blessing. You must find it within yourself to make the most of your opportunities.
Find your own personal nirvana. This can be something as simple as it walk on the beach, a good book,
playing with children, volunteering, doing a craft, or just plain old stopping to smell the roses once in a while. You are
youthful and full of life don’t ever let that stop. Simple pleasures are the greatest gift
one can give to oneself. Don’t forget to act silly once in a while. Laughter has always been the best medicine and in joining a
three-legged race, you may find yourself in the biggest belly laugh you’ve ever had. Also don’t forget to sing in the rain or the shower,
or anywhere which is appropriate, that the urge strikes. Life is full of ups and downs, your job is to make sure you have more ups than downs.
As a well-known character named Spock once said: Live long and prosper my friends.
Marti Noxon was amazing. I can’t wait to see her run her own show or her next movie
Danny Zucker combined with the Steve Levitan interview makes me happy that I avoid all things Modern Family.
I am as far from Hollywood as you can get and this is still one of my favorite podcasts. Great moderator,Great guests! Keep em’ coming!
