Between How I Met Your Mother, The Avengers and a cameo appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Cobie Smulders is all over the biggest properties in pop culture. Now she can add one more super role to her resume: Wonder Woman. Smulders provides the voice of the iconic character in The LEGO Movie, which hits theaters this Friday.
Nerdist asked how it felt to be playing one of the most beloved superheroes of all time. Smulders said, âI just feel honored to play Wonder Woman in some incarnation. Sheâs got such history and sheâs like the first female superhero.”
In the battle for the summer blockbuster, how does she feel representing characters in both the Marvel and DC Universe? Smulders said, âYou know, I donât live with borders, theyâre all superheroes to me!â
I also couldnât help asking the star about a hypothetical showdown of epic proportions: In a fight between her LEGO Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenbegâs live action Lex Luthor, who would win? Smulders laughed and answered diplomatically, âThat is a battle I would like to see. Just a lot of toe-kicking going on.â
The LEGO Movie hits theaters this Friday and The Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres on May 1, 2015.
