We are all in agreement, and we’ve said it over and over again: We want a female The Doctor. There are a plethora of awesome actresses who could nail the part, but one name shot to the top of our list recently: Hayley Atwell. When asked during a Twitter Q&A who she would want to play on Doctor Who, the Agent Carter star wasn’t willing to settle for a mere bit part; no, she wants to be The Doctor. And that is a very, very good thing.

We are big fans of Hayley Atwell. We love her as the ass-kicking secret agent Peggy Carter on Agent Carter and in the Marvel movies (opposite Captain America). She’s great on screen, but she’s also awesome off screen, and her connection with viewers makes her a fan-favorite.
