Rachael Harris is best known for her work as a correspondent on The Daily Show and as Stu’s abusive girlfriend in The Hangover. Now, the funny lady is appearing in Bad Words, starring Jason Bateman, Kathryn Hahn and Ben Falcone. Nerdist caught up with Harris and spoke with her about working with Bateman on his directorial debut and what she has coming up.
The veteran actress has been working in film and television for years, so how was it working with Bateman as a first time director? According to Harris, “Amazing, because it didnât feel like he was a first time director. You know, heâs so collaborative… when heâs giving you direction you feel like youâre the only one in the room. And I donât know how heâs able to manage directing and acting at the same time, but he did it with such grace and dignity, and it was really inspiring to watch him.”
In addition to Bad Words, Harris has multiple projects coming up, including lots of television: “I have the premiere of Surviving Jack, that I star in on Fox with Chris Meloni. [It’s a] really great show, half hour sitcom, single camera, reminds me a lot of The Wonder Years which was one of my favorite shows…Â And then I have Suits, I have the big episode arc on Suits thatâs coming up on the exact same day.” Harris is also appearing in Night At The Museum 3, starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Ricky Gervais.
Bad Words opened in select theaters this weekend and will open nationwide on March 21st.
