Nerdist Exclusive: “Oz the Great and Powerful” Midnight IMAX Print Debut

 

Fans excited to see Sam Raimi’s Oz the Great and Powerful in IMAX at 12:01 am on March 8th (or, the midnight after the 7th) will get an extra bit of bonus goodness. The above limited-edition image will be given away at specific IMAX theaters for the midnight showing of the film. The print is done by Oscar-winning production designer Robert Stromberg and will look pretty swell in your home as you dream of going over the rainbow.

Exclusively for IMAX fans – those attending OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL midnight shows in the first hours of March 8th receive an exclusive, limited-edition print from two-time ACADEMY AWARD winning production designer, Robert Stromberg, using unique concept art from the film.

Disney’s fantastical adventure OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, directed by Sam Raimi, imagine the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz.

The movie definitely looks gorgeous, and the print really shows the craftsmanship necessary to make it all look as good as it does. Supplies of the print are limited, so make sure you get there early.

    Yeah, my theater doesn’t seem to even list a midnight show yet, but has a 9:40 show Thursday. Which would get out SOOO close to midnight I don’t think they’re doing one at 12:01.

    My movie theater is listed but I was planning on going to the 9pm show that they have before the midnight show. Any idea if they’ll have these at both?
