The Webby Award nominations for this year have been announced, and the Nerdist Channel had a nice day indeed. We’re very excited to announce that the Channel has been nominated for Best Channel at the 17th Annual Webby Awards in the Entertainment category. Only five web content creators in the whole world, including Crackle and PitchforkTV were given such a distinction so this is, understandably, huge!
But the amazing news does not stop there, friends: Chris Hardwick’s All Star Celebrity Bowling has been nominated in the Best Personality/Host category — by “Web Personality/Host,” that would be Chris — and has also been listed as an Official Honoree in the Reality category! Honorees are made up of “the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement,” so that’s quite an honor. The other nominees in the personality/host category include Mike Rugnetta for PBS Idea Channel, Woman v. Workout, Mike O’Brien’s 7 Minutes in Heaven, and Fresh Off the Boat w/Eddie Huang. Congratulations to everybody; we’re in truly excellent company.
More? Neil’s Puppet Dreams has been nominated for Best Comedy: Long Form or Series, sharing the category with some real comedy heavy-hitters, including Burning Love, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Clueless Gamer with Conan O’Brien and Bad Lip Reading. Holy cats! Neil’s Puppet Dreams is also an Official Honoree in the Individual Achievement category. Again, that’s a great honor for NPH and company.
In addition to the Webby Award nomination, the shows are also nominated for the Webby People’s Voice Award, and that means you out there have the opportunity to vote. If you want to vote for Nerdist programs or any of the other nominees in any category… oh, who are we kidding? VOTE FOR THE NERDIST CHANNEL NOMINEES! Go to the People’s Voice page on the Webby Awards website and cast your votes. Voting begins today and goes until April 25th.
Everyone at the Nerdist Channel and Nerdist Industries truly could not be more proud and grateful to be nominated, so our sincere thanks go to IADAS and to you, the viewers.
As funny as neil’s puppet dreams is, i personal found myself laughing histaricly at clueless gamer on a much more frequent level
Face-To-Face was poorly done imo, Weird Al seemed to be making childish jokes and outright insulting his guests rather than being creative and clever in his interviews.
On a brighter note, The Nerdist Channel deserves more recognition and I’m glad it’s been nominated for so much.
No Face-To-Face?
