NERDIST AFTER | MARVEL’S CLOAK AND DAGGER Untangles the Roxxon Threads

Every week Nerdist is proud to bring you the aftershow for Freeform’s Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, Nerdist After. Join hosts Hector Navarro and Aliza Pearl after a new episode airs for answers to your questions, Easter eggs you might have missed, interviews with the show’s cast and crew you won’t find anywhere else, and much, much more.

Aliza and Hector were joined by Nerdist Editor-in-Chief Rachel Heine and Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger showrunner and executive producer Joe Pokaski to recap the episode and put their latest Roxxon theories to the test. Nerdist After works just as hard as Tandy Bowen to examine every tiny, possible clue into the company’s true motives, and Joe confirmed that there are no accidents in the many details hidden in the background.

Later, Miles Mussenden, who plays Tyrone’s father Otis Johnson, grabbed a seat on the sofa to chat about his character’s relationships, and how the superhero series embraces both the very real traditions of the past and challenges of the present.

ONE THING TO WATCH FOR

Joe tipped viewers to a scene back in the third episode of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger with Tyrone’s mother on the phone, talking about television commercials that should sound very familiar after this week’s episode. (Keep an eye on the hosts’ surprised faces at this reveal!)

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger airs on Freeform, Hulu, and the Freeform app Thursdays at 8 PM ET/PT and 7PM Central.

Whose superpowers would you prefer to have yourself, Cloak’s or Dagger’s? Tell us why in the comments.
