Well we certainly weren’t expecting this, and we hope it is not just another April Fools joke.

Merchandising is not a new concept by any means but it is a little out-of-left-field to learn that rapper Nas is involved in a line of Ghostbusters apparel. Thankfully, it’s pretty great.

“Ghostbusters is a very fun thing when it comes to the imagination.” This real and slightly confusing quote from Nas himself sums up his love of the Ghostbusters franchise while also being pretty limiting to most imaginations. For instance, we weren’t aware that “every fun thing” we can imagine only adds up to busting ghosts. Then again, we aren’t clothing line magnate rappers.

As confounding as that quote is, the team-up of Nas’ clothing company HSTRY and a nerdy franchise like Ghostbusters makes for some pretty cool designs. The Gozer showdown t-shirt and the ghost trap patterned headphones and sunglasses are now all on the top of our birthday wish-lists. And we’ll be sincerely bummed if the “no symbol” jacket was just a one-of-a-kind for the promotional video. We need that Nas. We. need. it. 

Unfortunately this was only the announcement for the limited run of Ghostbusters clothing and at the time of this article there’s nothing GB related listed on the HSTRY site for sale as of yet.
