MY LITTLE PONY’s Big McIntosh Is Ambling Into Build-A-Bear Online (Exclusive)

MY LITTLE PONY’s Big McIntosh Is Ambling Into Build-A-Bear Online (Exclusive)

Eeyup, he’s comin’.

Applejack’s big brother doesn’t talk much, but he doesn’t have to. As the hardest worker on the Apple family farm, he lets his actions speak the loudest. As a Build-A-Bear Workshop plush, however, he’ll be talking a whole new universal language. We speak, naturally, of the language of hugs. Nerdist is pleased to debut a first-look at the new Big McIntosh online exclusive.

Big McIntosh

Though his name appears to be a pun on a certain popular double-burger, which seems odd for a species of herbivores, that’s an accidental byproduct. Originally supposed to be called Big Apple until Hasbro legal nixed it, Big Mac here is named after the McIntosh strain of the popular, all-American pie ingredient, and serves as a double-joke for those of us who use computers that are not PCs, but the other kind.

Fittingly, then, you’ll only be able to purchase him using a computer. Mac is exclusive to buildabear.com and buildabear.co.uk, while supplies last, starting today–you can buy him right here, and shop the entire My Little Pony collection while you’re at it. So you won’t have to hoof it all the way to the mall; let your fingers do the trotting!

There’ll be many more My Little Pony products revealed at Build-A-Bear in the run-up to the new movie this October. Per the press release, “Guests can add the My Little Pony Song sound chip to Big McIntosh, or to any Make-Your-Own My Little Pony furry friend, for even more “friendship is magic” fun!”

You might call this horse a Little Big Man. YOU might, that is. Small children will be too young to get the reference, but they may laugh if you call him ‘tosh 2.0.

Will you be “appley” making this purchase? Can your “core” collection be complete without him? Plant your answers in comments below–we’ll never have “seed” them otherwise!
