This week, my favorite summer band, Vacationer, released their latest music video for the song “Trip.” The song itself is lovely. Soothing even. It’s simply about needing a getaway, and let’s be honest, don’t we all need a vacation?  But why this particular slice of ear-pie tickled my taste buds is because of this new video. Comprised of short videos and hundreds of stills, this 70’s stylized video touched me in a totally consensual way.

It reminds me of this one Bing commercial that never fails to make me cry (yes,  I cry during Bing commercials). It’s the one where everyone is in Hawaii, loving each other and having unforgettable experiences, and, for some inexplicable reason, it just gets me. This video gives me that same inexplicable feeling of happy and sad and probably really wanting to go to Hawaii. The music paired with the photo montage murders my soul with rainbows and oceans. I urge you to listen, watch and maybe cry (but only happy tears).
