Broken Social Scene bandleader/architect Kevin Drew is back with his brand new album Darlings, a followup to 2007’s excellent Spirit If, which is full of sexually frank scenarios and the kind of explicit vernacular poetry that is Drew’s forte. If you don’t know exactly what I am talking about, consider the first line of the album: “Get the body butter, baby, let’s go party all alone.” I am close to certain that no one could pull off this line as sincerely and sweetly as Drew

I thought this was a hoax, and cringed a bit when I found out I was wrong. But hey, who am I to judge? Tequila Lime Body Butter sounds like it might even be soothing. The video also teases the arrival of his proprietary “beard tonic,” which is infinitely less sexy.
