Movie Morsels: Watch an X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Featurette Starring Oscar Isaac

Hey there, Morselers! Welcome to an all-video edition of Movie Morsels, chock full of sound and vision, so you can give your tired eyes a break from reading. Today we’ve got the latest behind-the-scenes looks at X-Men: Apocalypse and Warcraft, a nifty new clip from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and lots more!

X-Men: Apocalypse

Everyone’s favorite sexy fighter pilot becomes everyone’s favorite mutant Big Bad in X-Men: Apocalypse. And while Oscar Isaac is no slouch in the acting department, it looks like his performance in director Bryan Singer’s latest mutant movie extravaganza is helped immeasurably by the post-production work that was done on the film. As many fans have pointed out, early stills released by 20th Century Fox made Isaac’s Apocalypse look not unlike Mighty Morphin Power Rangers villain Ivan Ooze. But whiting out his eyes and tweaking his voice seems to have made all the difference in the world. You can see for yourself in the film’s latest featurette, which features an interview with the actor himself…

Warcraft

Yes, Paula Patton went through very rigorous fight training while preparing for her role as half-human, half-orc Garona Halforcen in Duncan Jones’ video game adaptation Warcraft. But that’s nothing compared to what she must have gone through being married to Robin Thicke! Still, if you’re more interested in hearing about Warcraft here’s a new behind-the-scenes video look at Patton and her character…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

Y’know when I was a kid, we were happy just to see Raphael beat up some muggers. But today? The “rebel” of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gets to kick ass in a high-speed motorcycle chase. Kids these days… Anyway, here’s a clip from Out of the Shadows of Raph in action.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

As a huge Andy Samberg fan, I’m anxiously awaiting the release of his and his fellow Lonely Islanders’ boy band mockumentary Popstar. Yet I can’t help but think of a certain energy drink whenever I see the word “popstar.” Thank heavens they added the phrase “Never Stop Never Stopping” to the title in order to prevent the film from becoming the comedy equivalent of Edge of Tomorrow at the box office. Here’s the latest trailer…

And here’s the latest poster for this no-doubt musical-comedy masterpiece…

Personal Shopper

Two fixtures of Hollywood that people love to hate on: Kristen Stewart and the concept of personal shoppers. (Sorry, K-Stew fans, but does any young person look more bored or dissatisfied with being a wealthy, famous film star?) So put ’em together and they might make for a movie that many would be hesitant to get on board with, right?! At least that seems to be the hope for Personal Shopper, a horror film from acclaimed director Olivier Assayas, in which Stewart stars as a spiritual medium and shopper for the stars. Here’s the first trailer for the supernatural thriller, which debuted to mixed reviews at this month’s Cannes Film Festival…
