Between the Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers, there was a lot of win this Thanksgiving week, but just because the holiday is over doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. No siree, boys and girls! Just take a peek at today’s Movie Morsels, where we’ve got more Star Wars and Jurassic World news, as well as the first word on Frozen 2 from one of the film’s stars, an extended Exodus: Gods and Kings TV spot, the first trailer for Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep, and more!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Were you wondering who that narrator might be in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? A lot of people were. So Collider revealed that it was Andy Serkis, and Hitfix received confirmation — it is indeed the Lord of the Rings and Planet of the Apes star. “For the record, that is Andy Serkis you hear in the trailer,” says Drew McWeeny. “I was able to verify this, although I was not able to uncover any further information about the role he plays. Here’s what I do know, though. He’s playing a pivotal role in the film, although he will not have a lot of screen time.” Let the speculation begin! [HitFix]

Jurassic World

The Jurassic World trailer has drawn almost as many questions as it has praise. Thankfully, Colin Trevorrow has shed some light on a few of the the film’s elements in a new interview with Empire. Speaking about the giant aquatic Mosasaurus, the director says, “I thought it would be cool if we had this massive animal and the park used one of our most fearsome modern predators as food. There could be a whole other facility where they used shark DNA to mass-produce them to feed the bigger beast. It’s a bonkers idea, but I’m comfortable going to Crazytown, because I used to live there when I was a kid.”

Regarding Chris Pratt‘s character and his relationship with the Velociraptors, who he’s seen racing alongside in the trailer, Trevorrow adds, “Owen’s relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren’t friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they’ll bite your head off if you make the wrong move. But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That’s interesting territory to me.” As for whether or not we’ll see Jurassic Park‘s beloved T-Rex once more, the director says, “You bet your ass you will.” [Coming Soon]

Frozen 2

Since Frozen is the highest grossing animated film of all time, it should come as no surprise that Disney is developing a sequel (as well as the previously announced stage musical). Nevertheless, we’ve just received confirmation on the project from Elsa herself. Actress Idina Menzel — or, if you’re John Travolta, “Adele Dazeem” (sorry, we can’t let it go) — has told The Telegraph that plans for Frozen 2 are underway. “What can Menzel tell us of those plans? ‘That they’re all in the works, ha ha!’ Is she signed up for them all? ‘Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride…’ Disney CEO Bob Iger and other executives have studiously avoided specifics on a Frozen film sequel. Given the film’s mammoth success, however, a sequel seems more of a ‘when’ question than an ‘if.'” [Deadline]

Exodus: Gods and Kings

In case you were too busy gobbling up turkey to notice, Fox released a ninety-second TV spot during Thanksgiving’s Thursday Night Football for director Ridley Scott’s Christian Bale-starring Moses movie, Exodus: Gods and Kings, featuring the iconic sea rising. Co-starring the controversially cast Joel Edgerton as the Egyptian pharaoh Ramses, the film is due out on December 12th. [First Showing]

Shaun the Sheep

Hey Wallace & Gromit fans! Aardman has just released the first full trailer for next year’s Shaun the Sheep. Arriving in “early 2015” and featuring the furry spin-off star, the film also introduces “two new Aardman characters: Trumper the animal warden who rules the city’s animal shelter with a rod of iron and Slip, an inner city orphan dog who helps Shaun save the day” when his “mischief inadvertently leads to The Farmer being taken away from the farm, to the Big City…” [Empire]

Southpaw

What a difference fifteen pounds can make! That’s how much muscle Jake Gyllenhaal packed on — after losing thirty pounds of weight to play the wolfish ambulance-chasing lead in Nightcrawler — to portray Junior Middleweight Champion Billy “The Great” Hope in director Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming Southpaw. Says Fuqua, “Two people have done this in their lives, Robert De Niro in ‘Raging Bull’ and Denzel Washington in ‘The Hurricane.’ Those kinds of guys are rare.” [Variety]
