The latest word is that Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley has signed on to act alongside leads Idris Elba (as Roland the Gunslinger) and Matthew McConaughey (as the Man in Black). And, bonus, we hear Haley fans can also look forward to seeing him play a villain in Amazon’s The Tick pilot!

After fighting with Vin Diesel in his last movie Furious 7, Jason Statham has found, for his next project, the only opponent on Earth more imposing: a giant shark. Statham will star in Meg, a dinosaur adventure movie directed by National Treasure helmer Jon Turteltaub. The title beast of the long-in-development film is a Carcharodon Megalodon, a “70-foot, 40-ton prehistoric kin to the great white shark.”

Last but not least, we have the new trailer for Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming horror film The Neon Demon.
