If you don’t like superheroes (or superheroic pandas) than, sorry, there’s nothing for you in today’s Movie Morsels. Nada. Zip. If, however, you love tales of larger than life crusaders righting wrongs, then come on in — the water’s fine! We’ve got new pics of the World’s Finest duo as they prepare to square off in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Plus, the latest set photo from X-Men: Apocalypse, an update on Gambit, a new Fantastic Four featurette, and tons of art from Kung Fu Panda 3.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Bats and Supes look as grim and determined as one would expect in a Zack Snyder movie in the latest image from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot, the superhero slugfest opens on March 25, 2016 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.

X-Men: Apocalypse
Director Bryan Singer continues to whet our appetites for the next X-Men film in his latest Instagram photo from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. Showcasing some ancient art that’s sure to factor into the title villain’s ages-old backstory, the director remarks, “This takes me back to #raidersofthelostark #notallgreenscreen” The May 27, 2016 release features James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy.
Gambit
Wondering what’s going on with the X-Men’s Ragin’ Cajun? News on Gambit‘s production has surfaced. The film begins shooting in October and will continue through February, as revealed in a document that has arrived online, which also gives its budget as over $150 million. A casting call describes some of the characters that will be featured, though the names given are most likely placeholders. Directed by Rupert Wyatt, written by Josh Zetumer, and starring Channing Tatum, Gambit debuts on October 7, 2016.
Fantastic Four
The science behind the Invisible Woman’s invisibility is examined in the latest featurette on Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot. I’m still not sure how I feel about director Josh Trank’s reportedly gritty take on the fabled far-out superteam, but if the filmmaker is going for realism, I’m glad to see signs that it’s being embraced wholeheartedly with at last a little real science to back it up. Fantastic Four, starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, arrives on August 7th.
Kung Fu Panda 3
Last but not least today… Fox’s Kung Fu Panda 3 looks to be far and away the most beautiful of the Kung Fu Panda films, as evidenced by a bevy of new production art that’s landed online, as well as two new video cinemagraphs. Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and featuring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Bryan Cranston, Rebel Wilson, and J. K. Simmons, Kung Fu Panda 3 is scheduled for release on January 29, 2016.
