Movie Morsels: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Reveals Zoe Saldana’s Gamora

Hey there, Morselites! Let’s get this Tuesday started with the latest images from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, courtesy of Gamora herself. Plus, we have new pics from Suicide Squad, a new clip from The Jungle Book, and much more!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

They say it’s not easy being green. But you wouldn’t know that from looking at Zoe Saldana, who seems to be having a ball on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The actress has just posted two new pics on her Facebook page—the first of her in her makeup and costume from the hotly anticipated sequel. We see her on the set of the Milano (named apparently after actress Alyssa Milano), the faithful starship of Peter Quill and co. In the second, she can be seen playing with her two children in her trailer. (Awww…) It looks like Gamora’s new threads will very similar to her outfit in the original film.

Suicide Squad

Meanwhile, over in the DC Extended Universe… USA Today has unveiled two new images from this summers’ Suicide Squad, featuring the full lineup of the antihero team, looking all serious and sullen in the rain. Weirdly enough, they still look happier than the good guys of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The Jungle Book

If you’re looking for more scenes of rain-soaked sadness, we have the latest clip from director Jon Favreau’s adaptation of the Disney animated favorite The Jungle Book (in turn based on the classic Rudyard Kipling novel of the same name). Here, Mowgli heads off with the panther Bagheera after saying goodbye to his wolf pack… which, unfortunately, does not consist of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Details/rumors are starting to emerge on the “Ultimate Edition” of this weekend’s box-office success/critical misfire Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to Forbes, the film’s R-rated cut “won’t just have more violence, as some suggested/assumed when they saw the R-rating. It also includes deleted scenes that increase the presence of certain characters in the film and add new characters not present in the theatrical release. But it does indeed also include additional footage of violence and carnage, and maybe even some brief nudity, so the R-rating will apparently be well-earned.”

Me Before You

If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke, then you owe it to yourself to check out the actress in Me Before You, a new romance co-starring Sam Claflin, Doctor Who‘s Jenna Coleman, Matthew Lewis, and Clarke’s GOT co-star Charles Dance. (Hey, it’s gotta be better than Terminator Genisys, right?) Based on the novel by Jojo Moyes and directed by Thea Sharrock, here’s the first trailer for the very English drama…
