Heads up, DC fanatics! The antiheroes of Suicide Squad have been caught on video, and we’re bringing them to you today. Along with behind-the-scenes video from Universal’s new Fast & Furious and King Kong theme park attractions. Plus, the latest from the Poltergeist remake, casting news on Disney’s animated Zootopia, and a brand new Magic Mike XXL trailer. Diversity, thy name is Movie Morsels.
Suicide Squad
Toronto’s Entertainment City has the first behind-the-scenes video from the set of director David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. The video features star Will Smith and Margot Robbie in action as Deadshot and Harley Quinn, as well as an exclusive interview with Ayer himself. “I’m creating a family,” says the filmmaker. “I’m creating a brotherhood.” “A lot of the movie takes place at night and it takes place within the city,” adds co-producer Andy Horwitz, “so this is sort of our crew landing and touching down in the city and making their way to where they need to go.” Co-starring Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El DIablo, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and Jared Leto as the Joker, Suicide Squad arrives on August 5, 2016.
Meanwhile, IGN has deduced from photos taken on set that the DC Universe city in which the scene depicted in this video takes place is Midway City, the former home of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Fast & Furious: Supercharged
The first poster for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Fast & Furious: Supercharged is a thing of beauty. Never have Vin Diesel’s arms appeared so long. Never has Michelle Rodriquez appeared so focused. And never have I been so motivated to purchase a pair of Craftsman work boots. Opening on June 25, the ride is described as the new “grand finale” to the theme park’s famous behind-the-scenes Studio Tour. Here’s the deets from its press release:
“This dynamic hydraulic motion-based thrill ride will tell an original Fast & Furious story, fusing sophisticated hyper-realistic special effects with a state-of-the-art 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery projected onto the worldâs longest and most expansive 360-degree screen. Spanning nearly 400 feet in length to encircle Studio Tour guests within a newly constructed 65,000-square-foot structure on the legendary backlot, the sprawling custom-built screen will employ 34, 4K projectors and a sophisticated projection configuration system to envelop guests in unprecedented realism.”
And here’s a new behind-the-scenes video featuring the stars of the franchise working on the ride…
In related news, Universal’s Orlando theme park will finally get its very own King Kong attraction next year in Skull Island: Reign of Kong, supervised by Peter Jackson. Here’s the official video announcement…
Poltergeist
Like it or not, the Sam Raimi-produced Poltergeist remake is coming on May 22nd. So why not educate yourself along with the Brown family and learn about the titular menace in a new clip from the movie? Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, and Jane Adams star in the Gil Kenan-directed film.
To help you along in your course work, Fox and MGM have also unveiled a new infographic poster…
[Metro]
Zootopia
Disney’s animated Zootopia has its lead female voice actor. Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin has been cast as a bunny rabbit named Judy Hopps, “a by-the-book meter maid with dreams of being a police officer. But being the first bunny on the force is not within reach, so when a mystery is discovered, Hopps forges an unlikely friendship with a fast-talking scam-artist fox [voiced by Jason Bateman, he’s pictured above] to solve it. Together they will upend the predator-prey preconceptions that permeate this metropolis.” Goodwin most recently lent her vocal talents to another Disney project, the direct-to-DVD Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Never Beast.
Magic Mike XXL
Last but by no means not least today, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Magic Mike XXL, directed by Gregory Jacobs and featuring returning stars Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello. The sequel bares all on July 1st.
