Movie Morsels: Chris Pratt Cries over GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2, New THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY–PART 2 Photo

We’ve got lots and lots to get excited about in today’s Movie Morsels, starting with Chris Pratt’s thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy 2! Plus, a new photo from the final Hunger Games film straight from J-Law herself, a new clip from Pixar’s Inside Out, SIX new character posters from Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, and a brand new trailer for the National Lampoon’s Vacation reboot!

Guardians of the Galaxy 2

As much as we’re looking forward to Jurassic World, let’s be honest–we’re even more excited for Chris Pratt’s next blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy 2! So we’re thrilled to hear that the story pitch for the film, the script for which director James Gunn just completed, is so damn good that it actually moved Pratt to tears. Here’s what the actor had to tell Digital Spy

“I know some of the songs that are going to be on Awesome Mix 2,” he said. “All I can tell you, because I obviously, I’m not allowed to tell anybody anything, nor would I want to, because it would be a little bit like telling a kid what’s under the tree before Christmas morning. I would encourage people not to poke holes in the paper and peek. Allow yourself the Christmas morning. Don’t ruin it. I will say that his pitch and his idea legitimately put tears in my eyes. It is so good, it’s so good. And I cannot wait to get started on it and I cannot wait for people to see what he’s going to pull off with the second movie. It’s so, so big and so good. From what I understand, they were like, heard it at Marvel and they said nothing. They’re like, ‘perfect.’ There was no micromanaging of the idea, they just love it so much they didn’t even have a note for it. It’s going to be remarkable.”

And here’s the video interview segment in which Pratt made these remarks…

Co-starring Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 opens on May 5, 2017.
