On top of that, weâve a new action-packed featurette for Spectre and the first trailer for The Angry Birds Movie! Are you ready? Then letâs go!
The Incredibles 2
Can you believe that itâs been 11 years since Pixarâs The Incredibles came out? Thatâs like three Fantastic Four movies ago…and The Incredibles was a better FF film than all 3 of them combined.
Incredibles director Brad Bird is finally back at Pixar and preparing the highly anticipated Incredibles 2. And while Bird isnât sharing story specifics just yet, he did indicate that some of his lost scenes and moments from the first film will make it into the second movie.
âI had a bunch of ideas that I wanted to put in The Incredibles,â Bird said. âBut they just didnât fit. Certain ideas fit, but other things make you go, âThis is great, but Iâd have to give up two other things that matter more to me to get this other thing in.â So there were a pile of ideas left over from The Incredibles, but itâs not a big thing. There were little scenes and things that I was interested in. I wanted to come up with sort of an over-arching idea that connected to the first film that went somewhere different. Thatâs the one that took a little more time.â
Bird also explained why he didnât immediately jump into The Incredibles 2 after the first film was released. âI donât think I could have made this movie right away,â explained Bird. âNor would I want to…I will always want to break it up with something else and then come back to it. That said, Iâm really looking forward to playing with this playset again.â
The Incredibles 2 doesnât currently have a release date.
Kingsman: The Secret Service 2
Popular comic book writer Mark Millar dropped by Nerdist HQ yesterday and joined Jessica Chobot for a very special edition of Nerdist News. And it just wouldnât be a Mark Millar media appearance without a tease about the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service.
âI think Matthew [Vaughn] made so much money on the first one heâs not going to let someone else take that,â said Millar.
Fair warning: if you havenât seen the first Kingsman, Millar dropped big spoilers about one of the stars who will probably not return for the sequel…but he didnât entirely rule it out. Millar also expanded upon what it would take to introduce an American spy to the mix for Kingsman 2.

John Wick 2
Is he back? Yeah, weâre thinking heâs back.
Thunder Road has confirmed that John Wick 2 will begin filming this fall, with Keanu Reeves back in the title road alongside directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad. however, the description of the sequelâs story may be among the most succinct in Hollywoodâs long history.
âIn the follow up to last yearâs adrenaline-fueled revenge and redemption thriller, legendary hit man John Wick is back.â
Okay then, not complaining. The original John Wick was only a modest performer at the box office, but the film has taken off on DVD, Blu-ray and digital to become a cult classic with a sizable fan following…including Team Nerdist!
Ghostbusters
All of the surviving male Ghostbusters stars have made cameo appearances in Paul Feigâs upcoming all-female Ghostbusters movie. And now itâs Annie Pottsâ turn. Potts apparently filmed a cameo before shooting wrapped last week. Potts is rumored to be playing a hotel clerk in the movie, which suggests that she may be the one who hires the new Ghostbusters to take care of Slimer…assuming that the remake follows the story beats of the original movie.
But I have to say, it would be a missed opportunity if Potts doesnât get a scene opposite Chris Hemsworth, since heâs playing the secretary of the new Ghostbusters.
Ghostbusters will haunt movie theaters on July 22, 2016.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Hey Star Wars fans, there are only 84 days until The Force Awakens is finally released! And not even Lucasfilm can fill up three months with new trailers and featurettes! Theyâve got to save something for the movie.
But the latest Star Wars video is a really terrific teaser that puts the viewer in Reyâs first person POV as she rides a speeder across the Jakku desert. You can actually change the perspective of the video and look in any direction at the Star Destroyer wreckage and other intriguing details.
Well played, Lucasfilm. Well played.

Spectre
Need a little more James Bond in your life? Then check out the new video that features nearly 90 seconds of action from the upcoming Spectre.
Spectre will be released on November 6, and the theme song by Sam Smith will be unveiled later this week!
Angry Birds
Have you ever wondered why the Angry Birds are so angry at the green pigs? Sony and Rovioâs The Angry Birds Movie will depict the origins of that conflict, with Jason Sudeikis as the voice of Red, Josh Gad as the voice of Chuck, and Danny McBride as the voice of Bomb. Other voiceover performers in the film include Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, and Hannibal Buress.
The first trailer for The Angry Birds Movie is out, and you can get your first look at the film before it smashes its way into theaters in May 2016.
