Wondering when you can finally see Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill share the screen as Superman and Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? You’re about to find out. Plus, we’ve got news in today’s Movie Morsels of Pitch Perfect stars Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine’s next screen pairing (after Pitch Perfect 2), Kendrick’s Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart’s next film, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s Lifetime cable comedy, and the trailer for Blumhouse’s next thriller!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a launch date for the trailer for the first big-screen team-up between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel–May 15. That’s when your very first glimpse of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (unless you attended last year’s Comic-Con and saw a snippet of footage) plays before George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates
Anna Kendrick just might be America’s hardest working funny lady. The Pitch Perfect star last charmed us in Into the Woods (pictured above) and is likely to do so again in the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2 and the romantic comedy/hitman movie Mr. Right. Now, she’s signed on for Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, about two brothers who place an online ad for, as the title suggests, wedding dates. Alas, the ad goes viral, and hilarity ensues. Directed by Jake Szymanski, the film will co-star Zac Efron and Adam DeVine, with whom Kendrick worked on Pitch Perfect.
A Deadly Adoption
I’ll say this for Lifetime–at least it knows how to laugh at itself. Funny people Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig have secretly shot a parody for the cable channel (or, as Lifetime calls it, a âhigh-stakes dramatic thrillerâ) in which they play a married couple helping a pregnant woman (Jessica Londes) while planning to adopt her baby. Slated for release this summer, the film’s script was written by Andrew Steele, co-creator of another cable parody project, The Spoils of Babylon (pictured above), in which Ferrell and Wiig starred.
The Gift
The trailer for horror specialty shop Blumhouse’s next film The Gift has debuted online. Aussie actor Joel Edgerton writes, directs, and co-stars in this tale of a married couple (Jason Bateman and Iron Man 3‘s Rebecca Hall) who encounter an old schoolmate (played by Edgerton) that turns their life upside down. The Gift will be given at theaters everywhere on July 31.

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk
Modestly charismatic actress Kristen Stewart is about to join the cast of Ang Lee’s Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, based on Ben Fountain’s novel about a group of American soldiers brought home from Iraq for a promotional tour and forced to take part in a Thanksgiving Day football game’s halftime show before returning to combat. Newbie Joe Alwyn stars alongside Garrett Hedlund, with whom Stewart shared the screen in On the Road.
