Mondo Announces THE STRAIN and FARGO Posters For ATX TV Fest

Fargo is about to wrap up in a couple of weeks on FX while The Strain is set to make its debut. And to commemorate both occasions (as well as the ATX Television Festival, which closes tomorrow night), Mondo is releasing a trio of posters based on both shows.

Artist Matt Taylor is responsible for the Fargo image, which I think has more in common with the film than the Billy Bob Thornton/Martin Freeman series. If I recall, the police find the body in the trunk in the film and out in the woods in the film.

“The Strain is a highly anticipated upcoming drama series from Academy Award® nominated Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, author Chuck Hogan, and writer/producer Carlton Cuse. The ensemble cast stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Kevin Durand, Natalie Brown, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Jack Kesy, Ben Hyland, and Miguel Gomez. Based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy of the same title written by del Toro and Hogan, the series will make its television premiere on FX in July 2014.”

The pair of Strain images are even nicer (I think), especially since the artists at Phantom City Creative played around with the same design in two distinct ways. The yawning maw of terror is nice, but the writhing mass of crazy bodies is better still.
