MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT Trailer Has Henry Cavill Trying to Kill Tom Cruise

The world is in peril, and Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his team find themselves on the run yet again in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Ethan Hunt and the gang from the IMF are no strangers to working outside of the law and facing down formidable foes. However, in the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Ethan must not only fight to save the world, but he also has to deal with highly trained assassin August Walker (Henry Cavill) who has been given a license to kill him.

In the new, full-length trailer for Mission: Impossible – Fallout, we get a taste of the dangers awaiting Ethan and the rest of his team. True to Mission: Impossible form, the trailer is full of intense fights, death-defying stunts, and some serious intrigue.

Unlike the teasers we’ve seen, this latest gives us just as much plot as it does stunts. We see more of Cavill’s role and his efforts to kill Ethan Hunt, as well as the story behind the film’s main villain Solomon Lane (Sean Harris). Of course, this is still Mission: Impossible we’re talking about, so we get some great glimpses into the stunts awaiting us in the film like the infamous jump that caused Tom Cruise to severely break his ankle and the death-defying skydiving stunt that required 106 takes and oxygen to keep Tom Cruise from dying.

The movie looks like it’s going to be a great addition to the franchise. Mission: Impossible – Fallout will feature the return of our faves like Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and the newest (and arguably most badass) addition Rebecca Ferguson. Of course, there are some new faces as well. While we still don’t know their names or much about them, Angela Bassett is joining the cast as a tough-as-nails CIA leader that sends August Walker after Ethan Hunt, and The Crown‘s Vanessa Kirby is joining as a knife-wielding badass. We don’t yet know for which team Kirby’s character is playing, but the snippets we see of her in the trailer have us excited to learn more.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is set to hit theaters this summer, so be sure you’re ready to accept this mission when it arrives on July 27.
