Go ahead and say it: “TARDIS Space.”
In my latest Because Science, I am answering your questions! Can you really do an Assassin’s Creed-style leap-of-faith?* How do you create artificial gravity in space? What is up with Doctor Who‘s TARDIS being bigger on the inside? Find out above!
You can watch the last “Ask Kyle” segment where I talk about why no one can pick up Thor’s hammer here and send me more questions on Twitter.

*Correction: Oops! I misspoke in the opening question. Impulse is the change in momentum, defined as force*change in time, not change in momentum over time, that’s just a force.

The interior of the TARDIS is in a pocket universe called a “void locker” the exterior of the TARDIS is actually a “portal” to the pocket universe – think of it like a “Stargate” portal that transports you to a specific pocket universe that correlates to the portal gate or door.
I’m going to say this because someone less nice will do it meanly. The “S” in TARDIS is Space. You are saying Space twice. It’s like ATM Machine.
Actually, you are incorrect (on the space thing, not the ATM thing). The reference is to two different meanings of space. The space in TARDIS refers to outer space while the space after refers to volume. Thus he is not being redundant,
BURN!!!!
