Michael Moreci’s REINCARNATE Heads to TV

Another day, another comic book being developed for television, and this time it is Michael Moreci and Keith Burn’s ReincarNATE. The self-published comic has been scooped up by Buck Productions and is currently in development. ReincarNATE might be a title many comic fans are familiar with, but all that is about to change. If you’ve had the pleasure of reading this indie book, you know it’s damn near perfect for a TV adaptation.

ReincarNATE is the story of Nate McCoy a Private Eye with the ability to interact with versions of himself from past live, including a wild west lawman, and a hitman from the 1960s. Using the help of his former lives, Nate takes on the criminal underworld. It’s awesome stuff, and the goods news is Heavy Metal is set to re-release the series later this year. If you missed it the first time around, now is the time to check it out. Plus, new issues have been confirmed for 2016, so ReincarNATE is going to be everywhere very soon.

Since they self-published ReincarNATE, Moreci and Burns have gone on to do tons of work in the comic book industry. Moreci has written stuff like Hoax Hunters, Roche Limit, Burning Fields, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Curse. Burn’s art can be seen in Castles in the Sky with Garth Ennis, The Shadow/Green Hornet Dark Nights, and Ex-Con. These guys have been churning out good comics for a while now, so it is nice to see their early work getting some attention.

In fact, we love this series so much that The Nerdist is happy to offer to you, our fine readers, the first issue of ReincarNATE for free. That’s right, below you can check out a digital version of the book and, if it strikes your fancy, head into a comic shop and pre-order the rest of the series. It’s great stuff, folks, and you might as well jump on it before the TV series hits. So give it a read and then pop into the comments below and let us know what you think.
